Giant Excavator
If you're looking to gather mass amounts of metal, sulfur, stone, or HQM, the Giant Excavator is an excellent destination. By utilizing Diesel found on the map, you can power the Giant Excavator and receive one airdrop for every 5 barrels of diesel.
Time & Diesel Limits
To maintain accessibility for all players, there are now limits on the amount of diesel you can use at once and a time limit to collect your newfound riches.
- Diesel Barrel Limit: 20
Important Note
This is the number of barrels you can take with you to the Giant Excavator. This ensures 40 minutes to use the fuel and 20 minutes to transport your loot back to your base.

Important Note
This is the overall time limit from announcing that you're at @Giant Excavator to the moment you announce @Giant Excavator Finished. Exceeding the time limit is unfair to other players and is not allowed.
Why These Numbers?
It takes two (2) minutes to use one (1) barrel of diesel. By limiting you to twenty (20) barrels, you'll have a total running time of forty (40) minutes. You then have twenty (20) minutes to transport your loot back to your base, either by helicopter, car, or, if priorities are misplaced, by foot. By then, the monument resets, and the scientists protecting it respawn. If this happens, your time limit is up, and you should not attempt to use more diesel; the monument is now available for another player to use.
No Return Rule
Once you've used your allotted time (up to one (1) hour in total), you cannot return to the monument for at least 30 minutes. This means you cannot call out Giant Excavator again or use your diesel in it for at least 30 minutes. Doing so is unfair and prevents other players from using it.
Calling it Out
Communication is key to ensuring everyone has a fair opportunity to use the Giant Excavator. Call @Giant Excavator to let players know that your time has started. After this rule update is more widely understood, players will know you're using the Excavator for 1 (one) hour at most.
Important Note
Consider discussing your intentions to use the Giant Excavator in the chat. Ask, "Is anyone using Giant Excavator right now?" If the answer is no, you can announce "@Going to Giant Excavator." Once you arrive, announce @Giant Excavator. If you announce "@Going to Giant Excavator," your slot is reserved, but make your way to the excavator quickly. This ensures players who live closer cannot always take priority. Again, discuss this in the server chat and share with others.
When finished, announce @Finished Giant Excavator or something similar to let others know it is free, allowing the next player to announce their intentions.
No Teaming
Do not use your team advantage to tag the Giant Excavator multiple times. Many players are solos and will have no opportunity to use the Giant Excavator if you do this. If running the Giant Excavator multiple times benefits you or your team, it's unfair to other players on the server.
